American Cancer Society – Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Saturday, October 31, 2015

8 a.m.

Arena Green Guadalupe River Trail – 352 W St John St, San Jose, CA

Making Strides is my #1 TOP Cancer Fundraiser of the Year! This year will be no exception. The American Cancer Society funds cutting edge research and treatment options in addition to providing the most comprehensive patient services available. ACS has funded the research of 47 Nobel Laureates over it’s 100 year history. I have had the great pleasure of speaking directly with some of these scientists. We’ve discussed mapping the human genome and targeted therapy. I’ve seen women in treatment enjoying the Look Good Feel Better program or the American Cancer Society Wig Bank (ACS will GIVE you 1 wig while you are in treatment). If you need a ride to treatment ACS offers Road to Recovery, Need support for a caring person who understand what you are going through, Reach to Recovery is a program where ACS matches you with a supportive person who’s gone through the same cancer that you’ve been through. If you or a loved one has a question 24/7 you can call 1-800-227-2345 and speak with one of the kindest most knowledgeable people you have ever spoken with. ACS offers 24 hour support with answers to your cancer questions. I’ve called and used this service personally! If you’d like to know why I support the American Cancer Society – these are just a few of the reasons!
